Off towards Stoke Bruerne and the Blisworth Tunnel. A soaking wet and miserable day. It is strange, after Milton Keynes with its beautiful landscaping and architecturally decent houses, to get back into the usual suburban tat, with its vile bungalows set in oceans of tarmac. Old Wolverton - a huge railway centre before it was rationalised into dereliction, had some fairly interesting new flats with some elegant helical wind turbine rotars on the roofs.

It also had some classy graffitti, actually restored by B.W (well done !) helped by Wicks DIY.

Cosgrove is probably a nice village, but stopping there in pouring rain, squelching down to the only shop - on a dismal caravan site (the only village shop has closed) does not make the spirit soar - specially with the outrageous prices for groceries.
But for wet nights there are The Proms ! What would summer be without them ? And to add to the pleasure, get yourself outside a few bottles of Youngs Kew Gold bottle conditioned ale.....and the rain seems to fade away. Thanks for the introduction, Crew#9
