After a hasty trip to Liverpool for a bit of work and returning via York to see Tilly, I got back to Paddington Basin on Tuesday night about 30 minutes before crew#6. A surprise at York Staton to see a steam special pulling in from Scarborough.
Steamer at York Crews #7 and #8
Crew#6 left for Norway early Wednesday and I just had time to tidy up when crews #7 and #8 arrived for a short trip to Camden Lock and back. they are visiting from Norway. They left an hour before Crew #9 arrived from Chester. Moondaisy's bedding locker is now empty ! After a peaceful night in Little Venice, we did 9 hours to Bulls Bridge and up the Grand Union. The bad news is that Crew 9's son, whom he left yesterday, has swine flu, Hope we do not become a hospital ship.
Spotted some commercial traffic on the GU, including a lovely vintage narrowboat loaded with gravel - with little freeboard.
