Moored at the Anchor Inn, Bedworth (Coal-pit Road) - sadly closed and boarded up - awaiting crew#2 to arrive on foot from Bedworth Station. Perfect weather. Very few boats about.
Just passed a portable TV floating in the canal - screen upwards - with two ducks sitting on it. Either it is a tax-deductible MP's expense or they are waiting for the match to start.....
After three very happy days pottering around Atherstone and the countryside round it - hard to imagine it was all mines once, not so long ago, before the Mad Thatcher shut them, it's good to be on the move again. Onto the Oxford Canal shortly, then - after a service stop-head for Oxford - optimistic, but may be there by next weekend. Crew#3 can then meet Moondaisy in Oxford - but I'm not sure about that yet. Plan B may be required.
