Somehow I couldn't get started on this trip - so many odd jobs to tidy up - car MOT, boat engine service, getting crew organised, stocking up and the late delivery of a new sofa-bed - I have decided that, when I have crew, I am too oldto sleep on the floor !
.........but eventually I set off on 13th May and waited at Nantwich for the sofa to catch up with me.
In the meantime, there were a few diversions , such as the Steam Festival at Llangollen and the Grand Opening of the Corris Railways magnificent new Train Shed (my contribution was modest - cleaned the loos and parked cars). A short visit to the Tall y llyn Railway on the way home was the usual delight.
