26th. Single-handed this week, so did just 6 hours through a couple of pretty depressing former mining villages looking for a quiet mooring near the long flight of locks at Atherstone. I will attack those when I feel in the mood. I only have to get to Nuneaton to collect crew #2 on Saturday, so I have lots of time to clean. After a week's boating in the wet, in and out of the cabin at locks and so on, the small space fills up with boots, mud, grass, crisp packets and other detritus. Now I know why the really smart boats stay in marinas where there is scope for endless Hoovering ! Of course, if they all went out boating, there would be complete gridlock. As it is (and it's not school hols yet) there can be queues at locks. Most people are very friendly and sociable, but - as in other areas - there are just a few arseholes who think they are special. They probably have 4x4s as well. They will be the ones parked on the pavement next to the zebra crossing.........

Moored in another delightful spot surrounded by fields full of cows and buttercups. Moondaisy blendedin nicely.
